There are quite a number of seafood restaurants at Teluk Jawa, Johor Bahru. One of them is TKK Restaurant. I blogged about it before but the post was gone due to migration issue. Nevertheless, here’s my recent visit to the restaurant over one of the weekend with foodies.
The restaurant was once famous among the locals many years back because TKK is one of the pioneer seafood restaurants started in Johor Bahru. However, more and more seafood restaurants opening next to it ( Eg. Todak Restaurant ) and customers get an option to choose where to dine now.
All the seafood restaurants here have the same view which is facing the sea. The view can be gorgeous and windy especially during sunset. Customers get to choose the dining place as well.
Live seafoods are displayed at the entrance of the restaurants where customers get to pick and choose from there.
Since we were quite full after the cafehopping around JB, we ordered only signature dishes with small size portion.
1.2KG Salted Egg Crabs RM192.00 ~S$62.34 (RM16 per 100g)
Huge crab coated with salted egg yolk gravy was indeed sinful. The staff suggested to steam or cooked with salted egg yolk. So, we decided the second option. The meat was firm, sweet and tasty.

Cereal Squid/Sotong RM15.00~S$4.87
Crispy butter cereal squids served with overdose of crumbs definitely worth ordering especially the price is affordable.
La La Bee Hoon RM15.00 ~S$4.87
Clam vermicelli which is one of TKK signature dish. We can taste the wok hei which we normally can’t really find that often in Singapore. The bee hoon soaked up the broth that adds up the flavours to it. Everyone seems to be nodding their head quietly while enjoying it.
Our total bill for 4 pax was RM241.00 inclusive a pot of tea. The serving time pretty quick and it is within 15 minutes. This is one of the best way to end your JB trip. A nice and reasonable seafood dishes with a gorgeous sunset view of the sea.
